We designed these winter windows with wardrobe stylist and shop owner extraordinaire, Oskar De La Cruz of Luxe de Ville, an Echo Park vintage and designer clothing boutique, mostly using fixtures and items Oskar already had in his shop!

Choosing favorite pieces that you have in your home or workplace and rearranging them in a display is not only inexpensive, it also gives you an opportunity to keep your favorite stuff in view, while minimizing the clutter of things you don’t care so much about (I’m talking about you, pile of junk mail that has been on our counter for the entirety of Obama’s second term). While not everyone can be as fabulous as Oskar, who just happened to have feather headpieces and an antique carousel horse on hand, there are lots of other opportunities to use things that most people already own, like old photos or heirloom dishes to create a scene in your space that reminds you of the people and things you love!
